RT-qPCR is arguably the most sensitive and specific technology available for evaluating endogenous gene expression. With the advent of one-step reagents that enable qPCR directly from cell lysis, improvements in detection, and the Echo liquid handler, low cost, high-throughput RT-qPCR is now achievable. Using the Echo liquid handler, these assays can be miniaturized to nanoliter total reaction volume while guaranteeing data integrity with no cross contamination. Additionally, with no tips to interfere, re-screening is not required.
